Abstract

Distribution networks (DN) faces new difficulties for compensation of reactive power and improvement of power factor (p.f) due to integrated of large number of reactive device in distribution feeders. This paper proposed a new approach of sharply controlling reactive power flow at low voltage (L V) distribution networks. A new automatic reactive power compensation device (ARPCD) is integrated for real-time control of reactive power and developing the comprehensive network voltage quality of Smart Grid(SG) with respect to fundamental aspect. According to change of demand the reactive power changes and to update the status, a control setting will continue monitoring and providing the reactive power for compensation. To improve energy efficiency, voltage profile and power factor the ARPCD will work based on an Algorithm.
