Abstract
In times of global energy crisis and increasing impact of climate change the demand of eco-friendly energy sources, like green hydrogen, grows significantly. In consequence, a fast numbering-up of electrolysis is necessary to produce the required quantities of hydrogen. However, the provision of large-scale electrolysis systems is still accompanied with a variety of issues in the field of automated manufacturing and plant planning. Efficient planning processes are required to build up electrolysis capacity economically and within a reasonable time. This paper introduces an approach for the automated data-driven layout planning and dimensioning of modular electrolysis plants up to the gigawatt scale.
