Abstract
This paper describes a method and a computer program for the explicit evaluation of the algebraic form of the integral ∝ ∝ NNt dA for triangular finite elements with straight sides, where N may be any vector of interpolation functions in which alphameric as well as numeric coefficients may occur. The method may be extended to any similar integration provided an explicit integration formula is available for the integral of a general polynomial term over the element area.
