Abstract

We report calculations of energy positions,autoionization widths and branching ratios for the1Σu+ and 1Πu doubly excitedstates of H2 lying above the 2Πu (2pπu) and 2Σg+ (2sσg) ionization thresholds. The resonanceparameters have been obtained using the Feshbach theoryand an L2 representation of the non-resonant continuumwith B-spline functions. Our theoretical predictionsmay be of interest in interpreting recent photoabsorptionexperiments.
