Abstract

The results of studies of the features of the formation of an autodyne signal in microwave oscillators, which are under the influence of their own reflected from the target microwave emitting and external injection signal, are presented. Parameters and characteristics of injection-locked autodyne with a soft impedance characteristic of the active element are calculated. Experimental data were obtained on the Ka-band Gunn-diode oscillator. It shown that the introduction of the initial detuning between the frequencies of the external oscillator and the natural frequency of the autodyne within the synchronization band provides a significant increase in the transmission coefficient of the autodyne response signal compared to conventional autodyne. It was also shown that in ILAD, autodyne signals received in the over-coupling and under-coupling modes are in antiphase.
