Abstract
In strong magnetic fields the plasma of a positive column is in a turbulent state. The auto-correlation time τ 0 of the fluctuating electric fields is experimentally studied. It is found that τ 0 is governed by the ion saturation current i ps, and decreases exponentially as i ps increases.
