Authoritarianism in College and Non-College Oriented Police

Abstract

Alexander B. Smith, Ph.D., is Professor of Sociology and Chairman of the Division of Social Sciences and Correction, College of Police Science, City University of New York. Dr. Smith received his Ph.D. from New York University and is also a member of the New York State Bar. He has served as supervisor of Probation Department of the Supreme Court, Kings County, New York. Bernard Locke, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology and Dean of Students, College of Police Science, City University of New York. He received his doctorate from New York University and prior to his present appointment was Chief Psychologist for the Veterans Administration in New York. William F. Walker, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Sociology, College of Police Science, City University of New York, having received his doctorate from New York University. He has had wide experience in research problems involving offenders.-EDITOR.
