Abstract

We would like to thank both reviewers for their insightful commentaries. Common criticisms of studies comparing open and robotic radical prostatectomy are typically that (i) randomized, prospective studies are needed and (ii) given the natural history of prostate cancer, long-term follow-up is required to assess patient outcome. While we openly accept that our study does not fully address these two issues, we appreciate the recognition of its merit with this publication.
