Abstract

The landscape of penile prosthesis (PP) implantation has recently experienced a significant paradigm shift. With the advent of antibiotic-impregnated devices, hydrophilic coatings, and the “no-touch” surgical technique,1 postimplantation infection risk has significantly decreased. Whether these altered risk profiles apply to a patient with diabetes mellitus (DM) is still up for question.
