Abstract
We examined the intersection of race and insurance status to better understand the issues driving delays in care for certain patient populations. The interplay of multiple contextual factors, both inside and outside the hospital system, make it challenging for many of our patients to schedule elective urologic surgeries. Future efforts to facilitate healthcare access and ease logistical barriers such as transport and childcare will require strong cooperation between healthcare and municipal administrations.
