Abstract

The structure of the glasses in the (0.15Ga2S3×0.85GeS2)1−x−(Nd2S3)x system has been investigated by X-ray scattering. From the width of the first sharp diffraction peak the correlation length (Rc) of the medium-range order has been calculated. The dependence of Rc on the chemical composition of glasses is discussed in the frame of the model of strong co-ordination ability of Nd atoms. The proposed model describes the experimental results.
