Abstract

To nominate Australian psychiatrists no longer living who made a distinct international contribution and impact. Personal choices were made in nominating five psychiatrists and with supportive arguments provided in reviewing their contributions. The five nominated psychiatrists were John Cade, Aubrey Lewis, Leslie Kiloh, Bernard Carroll and Issy Pilowsky. Background information allows the contributions of the five nominees to be both considered and celebrated.
