Abstract
A range of Microthyrium-like fungi described from living Eucalyptus leaves has been studied from herbarium collections and fresh material. Most of these have been found to represent a single variable species, for which the name Phaeothyriolum microthyrioides (Winter) comb.nov. is proposed. Some similar fungi not identical with this species are also discussed.
