Abstract

The different Regional Cooperation Agreements (RCAs) that Australia has prevalent for the care and maintenance of asylum seekers in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea are discussed. The realization that it is theoretically accountable under international law for the impacts that the RCAs have on the human rights of asylum seekers will hopefully have an impact on Australia's future conduct.
