The article analyses the political-military relations between the United States and Australia at the present stage. The key doctrinal documents are reviewed, which make it clear that, in order to strengthen the strategic positions of both countries, modernization of the bilateral alliance is required. The results of cooperation in foreign and defense policy are examined, indicating the evolution of U.S.–Australian relations. Particular attention is paid to AUKUS – the flagship initiative of the Indo-Pacific policy of the Biden administration.
