Abstract

The annual scientific meeting of the Australia and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group is structured to include a combination of ‘working meetings’, including workshops open to all members (this year on local therapy trial proposals and supportive care proposals), then a half day review and report on all currently open trials that involve the group. This is followed by one and a half days of scientific sessions reviewing basic biology relevant to clinical trial design, clinical reviews of recent data, and early reports of trial proposals. The program ranges from prevention to metastatic disease, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary care and specific sessions on local therapy, systemic therapy and supportive care.
