Abstract
The Auger electron emission rates for Li- and Be-like ions with 1 s 2 s 3 p and 1 s 2 s 2 3 p configurations respectively have been calculated for ions in the range 14 ⩽ Z ⩽ 36 using a scaling procedure on the already available relativistic radial matrix elements for a single vacancy in the K-shell. The results are compared with earlier theoretical data and are found to be in reasonably good agreement for most of the elements under consideration.
