Abstract

The probabilities and energies of Auger transitions in doubly excited 3l i 3l j , 3l i 4l j , and 4l i 4l j states of oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen ions have been calculated using the Hartree-Fock approximation. The emission spectra are determined and changes in the spectral characteristics depending on the charge multiplicity and the number of additional electrons in the ground state of the initial ion are analyzed. The data obtained are used to interpret the spectra of Auger electron emission in the atmospheres of planets and comets.
