Abstract

ABSTRACT This article explores unpublished and published material in the Jerusalem archive of Ernst Akiba Simon (1899–1988), an émigré scholar. It delves into three book projects that Simon meticulously planned but could not complete. Posthumous materials reveal Simon’s detailed engagement with prominent German-Jewish figures, including Sigmund Freud and Heinrich Heine, as well as German author Theodor Fontane.
