Abstract

This article discusses an approach for auditing logistics operations using the principles encompassed within BP's Safety and Operations (S&O) Audit Program and will feature an emphasis on process safety. The article concludes with a hypothetical case study to help illustrate portions of the process. This is a general audit process overview that includes sampling strategy, sampling and testing plan, daily audit schedule, field audit, and verification.
