Abstract
I would first like to salute Professor Soda for his remarkable accomplishment and contributions in clinical activities, research and education. I am deeply honored to be invited to participate in this symposium which commemorates the occasion of his retirement. The main objective of this presentation is to introduce the audiology training programs in the United States that have a unique historical background quite different from those in Japan and Europe. I shall also discuss the status of their practice and the future trends and challenges in their training programs.
