Abstract

Autoimmune retinopathy (AIR) is caused by antiretinal antibodies damaging the retinal tissue, classified as paraneoplastic or non-paraneoplastic. Non-paraneoplastic AIR usually presents as a rapidly progressive and often asymmetrical visual loss with an unfavorable visual prognosis. Only a few cases of non-paraneoplastic AIR associated with anti-recoverin antibodies have been described in literature.
