Abstract

Guest columnist, RAHN KENNEDY BAILEY, MD, FAPA, is a board certified forensic psychiatrist and is currently Director of the Program of Law and Psychiatry at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School, Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Baylor College of Medicine, a staff physician at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, and Medical Director/CEO of Bailey Psychiatric Associates, Clinical, Research, and Forensic Institute. Dr. Bailey has appeared on MSNBC Television as well as on Cable Network News (CNN) and on local television and radio discussing psychiatric treatment, the insanity defense, and violent criminal behavior. JAMES B. ADAMS is a graduate of Prairie View A and M University with a Political Science degree and is the Forensic Associate at Bailey Psychiatric Associates, Clinical, Research, and Forensic Institute. DEBORAH UNGER is a graduate of Vassar College with a degree in Neuroscience and Behavior and is currently the Forensic Intern at Bailey Psychiatric Associates, Clinical, Research, and Forensic Institute.
