Abstract

This study explores the perceptions of Gen-X librarians about the attributes essential for academic library leaders; and compares findings to the perceptions of library directors. Although the attributes that both groups value exhibit some noteworthy differences, any characterization of leadership attributes is multi-faceted and does not focus solely on generation.
