Abstract

On the basis of previous researches, the inhibiting activity on liver catalase «in vivo » of butanol extracts of urines from normal individuals and from tumor-bearing patients have been studied. Both normal and pathological urines gave active and inactive extracts. Urines of the same individuals, taken at different days, gave results varying from a strong activity to a complete inactivity. The phenomenon is therefore aspecific, at least under the conditions used. Attempts to isolate the active substance, have demonstated the plurality of the active principles and their great lability.
