Abstract
In this paper it is described how contactor control can be used to stabilize the attitude of a spinning space vehicle and of an orbiting satellite. Relations are first derived for chatter of the contactor (caused by an inherent time delay), and then applied to the analysis of the two plants. All examples are compared with their respective time-optimal solutions.
