Abstract
This paper outlines the overall design of Attitude Control System on Engineering Test Satellite-VIII (ETS-VIII), Geostationary Mobile Communication Satellite to be launched in Summer 2004, with Large Space Structures (Large Deployable Reflectors, the world’s largest of its kind, and High Power Solar Paddles), focusing on (1) integrated OBC design with 64bit-MPU, (2) large space structures stabilization, (3) fault detection, isolation and reorganization (FDIR), (4) reprogramming function, and (5) on-orbit system identification experiments.
