Abstract

This paper discusses the problem of calculating the spectral-energy characteristics of light radiated by high-temperature sources, taking into account its attenuation in the earth’s atmosphere. Methods are presented that make it possible to rapidly and with fairly high accuracy calculate the radiation attenuation on inhomogeneous atmospheric tracks in the spectral region 0.2–20μm. Besides the traditional mechanisms of molecular and aerosol attenuation, radiation attenuation in five different types of clouds is considered.
