Abstract

This article explores the assessment, treatment and management of ADHD by nurses. Although the main focus is on pharmacological treatments, these are only one part of support and management strategies. Self-care, psychological interventions, family-based support are all important for nurses to consider when providing holistic care and treatment for children and young people with ADHD.
