Abstract
CME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES 1. Discuss the effect of increased sub-specialization and the expansion of non-physician clinicians on the role of the primary care pediatrician. 2. Delineate changes in the general pediatric workforce, with emphasis on changes in gender balance, geographic distribution, part-time practice, and workforce diversity. 3. Determine the opportunities available to pediatric training programs in shaping the role of the primary care generalist.
