Abstract

Aiming to raise interest in soundscapes, a presentation contest was held for those under the age of 20, including high school students, technical college students, and under second-year university students. The entering began in September and the information about participation was sent to approximately 150 local high schools. The contest took place on November 14th, with participants giving presentations online and only judges gathering at the venue due to coronavirus concerns. Eight teams participated, including three men's teams and five women's teams. The gold prize was "Visiting the sound of Kanazawa", showing a video of gold leaf pasting and water harp cave in Higashi-Yama area. Aiming to increase the number of participants next year, we plan to hold workshops on photography and video production in advance.
