Abstract

A case of atrial parasystole in an apparently healthy 32 year old man is reported. Procedures stimulating vagal activity (carotid sinus stimulation or the Valsalva maneuver) inhibited the ectopic pacemaker. Similarly, exercise or administration of isoproterenol led to disappearance of the parasystole.
