Abstract

Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is prevalent in patients with end-stage kidney disease. However, the role of oral anticoagulant therapy in patients undergoing dialysis is unclear owing to the propensity for increased bleeding. We evaluated the prevalence of AF and oral anticoagulant therapy and its association with mortality in patients undergoing dialysis.
