To the Editor:Trichotillomania (TTM) is a mental disorder identified through repetitive pulling out of one's own hair and prominent hair loss. Trichotillomania has an estimated lifetime prevalence of approximately 0.5% to 1%, and mean age of onset is commonly in early adolescence (12–13 years).1
