Abstract
Abstract A model of doubly resonant three-photon ionisation is considered with the inclusion of the quasicontinuum of excited levels lying below the ionisation threshold. A profound effect of the type of quasicontinuum, its level density and spacing on both the photoelectron energy and the ionisation spectra is analysed in different time and intensity limits.
