Abstract

The novel technique of X‐Ray Fluorescence Holography (XFH) is used to investigate the structure of the Fe‐based high temperature superconductor parent FeTe around Fe as the emitter atom. Holograms of an FeTe single crystal are recorded at several energies above the Fe K edge. The data are analyzed using the scattering pattern extraction algorithm SPEA‐L1. The reconstruction of the atomic images on the Fe plane yields unit cell parameters different from those obtained by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. The Te height is slightly higher than the XRD data, suggesting an effect of the excess Fe atoms in the crystal.
