Abstract

Energy levels, dipole oscillator strengths and transition probabilities for some highly stripped ions of Fe-group elements Fe8+, Co9+, Ni10+, Cu11+ and Zn12+ belonging to the astrophysically important Ar-isoelectronic series have been evaluated using the time-dependent coupled Hartree-Fock theory. The data can be employed to the analysis of spectral lines in the solar spectrum, high temperature astrophysical and laboratory plasma diagnostics. Estimated values compare favourably with existing experimental and theoretical data wherever available and many new ones reported here may constitute a useful set for future reference.
