Abstract

We present the results of a three-year-long monitoring of atmospheric extinction over Mount Shatdzhatmaz (2112 m) in Northern Caucasus in a photometric band with λeff = 480 nm and the results of measurements of precipitable water vapor (PWV), which characterizes the atmospheric transparency in the near infrared. The yearly mean fraction of photometric weather is estimated to be 50% of the clear night time. The yearly median extinction is 0ṃ21; themedian PWV on clear nights is 7.7 mm.
