Abstract
The results of the observations of both total and layered ozone content of the atmosphere, the latter from C wavelength Umkehr observations, made in Lisbon (38° 46′N; 09° 09′W) during the period 1967 to 1971 by the Servico Meteorologico Nacional, are analysed on a statistical basis in relation to the flow and temperature fields of the atmosphere, namely in relation to the position of the tropospheric jet axis and the 100 mb air temperature.
