Abstract

In order to analyze the effects of atmospheric drag perturbation on the deployment of tether-assisted deorbit system, the dynamic model of the deployment of tetherassisted deorbit system include atmospheric drag perturbation is proposed based on Lagrange equation. Then a mathematic simulation is provided to validate and analyze the atmospheric drag perturbation effect on the deployment of the system in free and exponential deployment scheme. The results showed that atmospheric drag perturbation not only affects the in-plane motion of the system, but also induces the out-of-plane motion of the system, and periodic variation of the attitude angle of the capsule is caused by drag perturbation, which will destroy the stability of the system.
