Abstract
In order to obtain the accurate ground deformation from SAR interferograms on volcanic areas, the signal propagation delay through the atmosphere needs to be considered. In this paper numerical weather model data are used to compensate the stratified atmospheric delay in test site El Hierro (Canary Islands). Three GPS stations, installed on the nearby Island, are selected for validating and evaluating the weather model data. Atmospheric phase screen from PS-estimation shows a good agreement with turbulence induced atmospheric effect.
