Abstract

Atlas of Urologic Surgery, Volume II: Surgical Anatomy is the second compilation of urologic anatomical illustrations by Fabrizio dal Moro. The first volume, which was reviewed in the July 2016 issue of Urology, included illustrations on the topic of orthotopic urinary diversion. This second installment is an impressive collection of illustrations comprising the full gamut of genitourinary organs as well as related retroperitoneal, pelvic, and perineal anatomies. As in the first volume, the author takes the concept of “a picture is worth a thousand words” to the extreme as there is no text whatsoever beyond a brief description of each illustration as well as a few labels referring to relevant structures. Indeed the author seems to take to heart the expression printed on the first page, “Don't tell me, show me.”
