Abstract

The article talks about the impor tance of psychological suppor t in children's and youth sports. Target. Conducting psychodiagnostics of athletes of childhood and adolescence in order to formulate psychological and pedagogical recommendations, planning and more effective implementation of a system of influence on the athlete. Results. Recommendations are formulated, including the formation of positive thinking, the formation of motivation, training in relaxation techniques, training in mental self-regulation (auto-training), regulation from outside (recommendations for a coach, parents). Conclusion. In modern sports, the psychological stress is very high. The need for athletes to constantly overcome great physical and mental stress is associated with increased neuropsychic activity and emotional stress.
