Abstract

Temperature dependent channel wavelength shift in a silica-based arrayed-waveguide grating multiplexer is successfully suppressed from 0.95 nm to 0.05 nm in the 0-85/spl deg/C temperature range, which means it can be used in practical WDM systems without temperature control.
