Abstract

Alienation, estrangement, and in general the human condition of mankind is intimately related to the so-called myth of Adam and Eve. The Christian interpretation of the Adam and Eve story is contrasted with that of contemporary atheistic humanism. The latter position is critiqued, followed by a Christian perspective on the implications of the human condition.
