Abstract

The article presents the results of a research aimed to understand Specialized Educational Assistance in multifunctional resource rooms, during Early Childhood, located in Dourados / MS. Characterized as a Qualitative Case Study, the data collection included sessions of observation and application of two different questionnaires. A checklist was also used to check what materials were available for the service and the annotations of the field book that recorded the observations. The results pointed out lack of adequacy in materials offered to Specialized Educational Assistance of Infant Education and the need for more specialized teachers to carry out this service. We conclude that there is a need for greater investments in human resources, both for hiring and training.
