Abstract

In this study, it has been examined the Ataturk University Journal of Economics and Administrative Sciences (JEAS) and bibliometric features of its articles. The research carried out covers 434 articles published between the years 2005-2012. The following research questions have been discussed: Who are the most productive authors? What is the relationship between the authors? What is the trend towards multiple authorships in IIBD? What are the institutional affiliations of the authors of the articles? What is the status of author self-citation and making cite to this journal? How many articles were published per year on average? How many articles were published in the journal per year? What is the distribution of articles over the years? Does the distribution of authors fit Bradford’s, Lotka’s and Prices Law and 80/20 Rule? What is the average number of references used in the articles? Which types of sources get cited more often in articles? What is the subject distribution of articles published in JEAS by Journal of Economic Literature classification system?
