Abstract
This chapter deals with the core of conflicts arising from the territorial control within a broader international context, encompassing two pivotal areas of analysis. The first paragraph explores the intricate dynamics between the territorial control and the host country. It examines historical, political, and socio-economic factors contributing to tensions, shedding light on the divergent interests and power struggles between these entities. A comprehensive understanding of the genesis of conflicts is provided by emphasising the complexities inherent in their relationship. The second paragraph focuses on the allocation of functional responsibilities, separating the delicate balance between centralisation and decentralisation within the territorial control. It suggests new strategies employed in distributing roles and powers by weighing advantages and challenges of both approaches.
