Abstract

After a long and not so patient wait, the English diabetes national service framework (NSF), originally due in Spring 2001, has been published in full (DoH, 2003). The NSF sets out a 10-year programme of reform to be implemented from April, which the government believes should deliver world-class care to people with diabetes. The theory is promising and we're now looking forward to seeing how it works in practice.
