Abstract

ABSTRACT A simplified model of the hysteresis motor is introduced, with eddy-current effects taken into consideration. The field analysis is based on Maxweell's equations; the output relations, such as forces, power and heat losses, are derived via Maxwell's stress tensor and Poynting's theorem, and a special variant of the circle diagram is proposed.
